January Birthdays 
It's been a while since I have posted. The Kahuna Kings will be thrashing about on February 1 in downtown Akron, Ohio with a great Pittsburg surf band The Yeggs. Check our facebook page for the details if nearby. We always try to push the bounds of high energy, pounding trad surf and entertain the audience.
On another note, we are seeing the devastation and reality of what living on this planet and especially recently in the United States can bring. Fires, hurricanes and an active 2024 tornado season have filled the news feed. Lives lost, landscapes decimated, and the world turned upside-down for countless numbers of people.
When I did this side project in 2023, I wanted to expand the bounds of what trad surf could do to speak to the world. I think heavy trad surf guitar has a power beyond that of metal in many ways. I did this project to bring to a reality the sound that could speak to those that have never heard surf guitar. Since the video was released, we have had the devastating hurricane brutalize Western North Carolina and beyond. The fires around LA are beyond catastrophic. The Climate of Catastrophe is not going to go away.
