SPOTIFY HELP

TheOutpost Joined: May 26, 2020 Posts: 266 Highlands Ranch	Posted on Dec 21 2024 04:15 PM I got a notification from DistroKid stating this Spotify has detected that the majority of streams on some of your track(s) were artificial. As a result, the release(s) containing those track(s) have been removed from Spotify. Your music has not been removed from any other streaming service and is still live everywhere else where you've chosen to distribute it. I am not sure exactly how this happened as i have never paid for promotion and just been appreciative people here were hopefully listening. Distrokid-I received an... The second link above says: It's likely you, or someone you work with, used one of these marketing services or was added to one of these playlists. It's also likely you didn't know the marketing service (or playlist) that you paid for was generating fraudulent streams. We know that's a bummer. Please note that this affects tracks from all distributors. It has nothing to do with DistroKid. We are just passing along the information provided to us by Spotify and we haven't been given any additional information from Spotify other than what has already been provided. The good news: if you are not using promotional services, you can re-upload your song(s) to Spotify using the same ISRC. A new upload will make sure a new URI can be assigned to your release in Spotify for a fresh start. You can head to distrokid.com/new to start this process. To provide feedback about any promotional services you have been utilizing, please use this feedback form so we can collect, review, and pass the information along. To report any playlists you suspect may be related to this activity, please visit https://artists.spotify.com/c/playlist-reporter. So resubmitting is an option.
