Permalink Dual Showman bass amp/what's this cab

New Topic

I decided to start using my dual showman as a bass amp. I already did so on recordings. But I wanted a live option, as well.

I just picked up the cab. And I'm a little confused. I think it's a 69/70 bandmaster. But it's so tiny compared to my other bandmaster or bassman cabs. It's more like the size of a showman. But it's 212. The original speakers were Orange label Utah's. Speaker code 328911, which I think means 1969. The only markings are a red crayon 70 inside. It was sold to me as a dual showman. But I don't think they came as 212? Any info would be appreciated.

Anyway, I swapped the speakers out for bass speakers, and it sounds cool. Not too high fi, and not too ratty. Just in between
