Apart from the Mercury Magnetics FBLS-P, does anyone know of any other 67233 repro's/clones? Hammond claims their 290EX is a 67233 equivalent, but they list it under Bandmaster and Bassman.

I'd go by the specs needed to pick the proper Hammond PT, just to make sure. Or find a Heyboer equivalent. What kind of amp is this for?

6G14-A. Heyboer only makes them when the stars are aligned.

I did a related research recently for my 6G14A custom build. I did not find an "official" 67233 clone other than that of MM. Hammond 290EX has the correct voltage specs but the amperes are not sufficient for the Showman. Many in this forum have used the Hammond 290FEX which seems to be the closest compatible thing from Hammond. It has slightly different voltages but I think you'll still be in the acceptable range... Personally I ended up ordering a PT with the specs of 67233 from a local handicraft which costed be about 6 times less(!) than ordering the MM from a reseller in Europe. The PT was bulkier than MM but my build was custom anyways so I just adjusted the chassis accordingly...

Thanks for the input. Terma, I'd be interested in knowing wich reseller in Europe sells the Mercury Magnetics, also about your local craftsman and if he'd be willing to ship to France. Does he have the Triad 67233 spec sheet?

I found the PT at a reseller in Spain, which is available on request. Check here. The price however is quite high.

My local craftsman does not have the Triad spec sheet, in fact I just pointed out the specs to him after my own personal research. By saying specs, I mean just the voltage and amperage ratings. The materials, construction method and size is what he uses on a daily basis. Unfortunately he does not ship at all, he was not even willing to ship to the same country, so I just had to travel to another town to get order it and get it.

My opinion is to go for MM if you want the closest thing to the original, because "Tone Clone" supposedly clones not only the power ratings, but also the size, materials and construction technique. But, you will have to pay the price. The 290FEX may be a good trade-off between price and compatibility but the installment may require chassis mod and it won't be plug-n-play...

That's quite expensive indeed. I'm following a couple other leads and if they turn up nothing I'll take the MM route.

Do you use 45550 or 125A4A Output Transformer?
Pacific Transformer PAM-PT-40-15RZ (125P7A )
385-0-385 ,200ma ,50v bias.
Hammond 330-0-330 ,275ma ,53v bias.

RobinsonCrusoe I am also really interested in this subject, can you please elaborate more on this? Have you tried any of these in a Showman? In theory at least, the specs seem to be incompatible...

RobinsonCrusoe, I use the 45268 output transformer.
