i lucked into meeting and playing with the drummer from a philadelphia band called 'plastron' this evening. (they mix punk, psychedelic, surf and rockabilly for their sound) i knew things would be good when he told me he was listening to the 'nebulas' on his car stereo, asked me if i'd ever heard of devlar surf sessions and the 'atomic mosquitos'.

we played through a couple of surf standards as two of his friends who hadn't played surf before played along on bass and rhythm. they thought the surf stuff was cool.
surf's up on the outer banks. carol

ouch, that's a good one Danny,
but dont turn your back on Tony now.
you might end up with a drum stick in your back.
joking of course.
