Hello to everybody. I am a newbie here. I recently traded my AVRI Jazzmaster in ocean turquoise (yeah, i know, i'm an idiot), but I'm just about to come into a a little bit of money and I will have a little less than $900 to spend, max. I'm looking for a J. Mascis Jazzmaster or a used AVRI Jag or JM in anything but black or sunburst. I would also be interested in an AVRI 62 strat or maybe a tele w/ a bigsby. I really just need a good fender with a trem. Well, let me know if you've got anything. Thanks.

I might have something for you. Check your PM messages.
Update - Never mind...you don't want a Sunburst.

Sunburst = the best Jazzmaster finish. Well, the vintage sunbursts anyways.

+2 on old sunbursts. I do like the look of my AVRI JM sunburst as well.

Yeah, I don't have anything against sunbursts, it's just that sunbursts are so prevalent and I would rather have something that feels a little more unique.

I got my Mascis Jazzmaster, pictures & info here...

from Musician's Friend. They still have them in stock.
I replaced the CIJ pickups (which sound too Strat-ie to me) in it with Duncan Jazzmaster pickups & the guitar plays & sounds great to me. I too like sunburst but have a Sunburst Jag already so I wanted to get something "different." The JMJM is pretty different in my book!
