Permalink My first show...live tone

So, I played my first real show last night. We play early Rock N'Roll covers like early Beatles, Rockabilly, Surf and instrumentals. We opened for my drummer's other band, another cover that does oldies in a broader scope. The crazy thing is that Gary Puckett was there and sang some songs with the other band. Pretty cool. But the main point of this post was to brag on my live tone. I actually got a few comments on it from my friends who are interested in gear. They were saying that my sound was much better compared to my drummer's dad's guitar sound. He was playing a '67 jazzmaster through a solid state fender. I was playing my CIJ jazzmaster with sd antiquity II's into a barber LTD and my '72 Twin. I was super nervous and screwed up a little but you gotta start somewhere. Now i am bit with the bug. I want to play on stage so bad now. We are planning to play a couple halloween shoes soon. I need to find some other people in the middle tennessee area that want to play strictly surf. Any takers?

Tim
