Hello SG101. It's been a bit since last login but once I did, I quickly got caught up in all that this site has to offer. Not a great pic but I still have my Little Kahuna (not pictured), 68' Bandmaster (tolexed to look more like a 62' with original speakers but Mojotone Cabinet) and now play a Gretsch Duo Jet. Donation sent, thanks again and have a great September.

Looks like a great rig. I used to have a Dynasonic equipped Duo Jet, that would Surf like a champ.

Thanks all! This Duo Jet sounds best to me in the middle position so not as bitey as I'd like for surf but certainly good enough for my skills...

Nothing wrong with both pickups on a Duo Jet. I’ve never owned a Jet with Filtertrons, but I have used Filtertron family pickups on hollow body Gretsch for Surf and they sound great. My favorite are Gretsch Supertron pickups, which are bright, but have a lot of body to the sound.
