Hi, all.
Mister Neutron played four shows in California back in March -- but we liked the cheap Mexican food so much that we decided to come back for more. So we'll be in SoCal from Oct. 4 to 7 for three shows.
Here's our schedule:
THURSDAY, OCT. 4: Mister Neutron and OuterWave at the Juke Joint in Anaheim.
FRIDAY, OCT. 5: Cheap Mexican food.
SATURDAY, OCT. 6: Mister Neutron and Insect Surfers at the Purple Orchid in El Segundo (Happy birthday, Big Tiki Dude!). We played here in March. I love this place.
SUNDAY, OCT. 7: Mister Neutron at the International Surfing Museum in Huntington Beach.
Hope you can make it! We're looking forward to it.
Thanks,
Damian & Co.

we're totally into playing a show that night, but we couldn't find anything (we had some friends out there helping us, too).
if anyone knows of something that's already set up (where we could seamlessly insert ourselves into the proceedings), plz let me know!

Hey guys, cheapest mexican food I have found is across 5th street and 4 doors toward the ocean from the HB Surf Museum. Many a post gig feast has been enjoyed there.

HOT OFF THE PRESS
speaking of mexican food. Let us go get some burritos and tacos at the stand by the Juke Joint and then some cerveza in that Tijuana style beer bar next door with the sleazy women. I think most of you who have been at the Juke Joint know what I am talking about.

Tacos Jaliscos in Orange (on Tustin Ave and Walnut) is well worth the trip, even if it's trailing in the sleazy women category.

El Taco, (no not Del Taco) on Euclid right by my house is off the hook,
Just ask Baja Marty, Adrien from CHUM, Jon Paul from Tiki Magazine,
and others that have been there. They all raved about it after I took them there.
Its not far from The Juke Joint, maybe 4 miles.
the place by the Juke joint isnt that good( I think),
but the Tiajunna style bar is a must see.

Baja Sharkeys at the Newport Beach Pier & Freds overlooking the HB Pier both strike a nice compromise between good mexican food at reasonable prices and plenty of "local talent" if you get my drift.

I can vouch for that! Jalisco's has da' KINE food. Nothing gringo about it.

I just noticed on the JukeJoint myspace, they added another band on the bill. The Zookeepers, anybody heard of them?. I opened their myspace and this could be a pretty interesting band. Surf Garage.

For all you tiki-surf afficionados Mister Neutron and the Insect Surfers live at Purple Orchid Exotic Tiki Lounge, Saturday, Oct. 6, 10 pm, $5. This will be a monster show!
Try the Mexican food at Su Casa on Main Street, two blocks from the bar, or eat at the excellent restaurant right next door.

The last time we were in there, Juanitas smelled like puke and the bathroom was in a disgusting state.
I did like the place across the street from the Whistlestop, though. I don't remember the name.
