Hello everyone. We've just released a new track called The Heist on Bandcamp. It's a Shoreline Dreamers instrumental that edges into the more psych side of the our sound.
The track was inspired by the true story of Murf the Surf. The wise-cracking surfer who committed one of the most audacious jewel heists in US history when he and a buddy broke into the American Museum of Natural History in 1964 and stole an assortment of precious diamonds and emeralds.
Shoreline Dreamers started out as an imaginary band by my bandmate MantaMike who is also on SurfGuitar101. It was your encouragement that inspired him to write an initial batch of songs and then form a real life band! We've been going for about a year now. After starting out with a live set of four originals that was padded out with several covers, we've now got to the point where we can play a set of all original songs and we're starting to find our own sound.

Louie, thanks for sharing that story about the inspiration provided by the SG101 members. That is what this forum is all about: learning, sharing, encouraging, inspiring and getting on stage! I look forward to listening to your track.

Hi there everyone. We've just released a new Shoreline Dreamers track! It's called Euro Dancer and is our take on Delta Swamp Rock via the European session sound of the early 1970s. It's maybe a slight departure from a traditional surf sound but I was quite chuffed when a pal of mine said it sounded like The Ventures play Tony Joe White.
