All three sounded good. The red Mustang was a good basic sound, very much of the Fender family. The P-90 Mustang surprised me. There weee some nice overtones and it was not, at all, dark sounding. The Mosrite had some serious sparkle.

Thank you, and you are right about those p90s. Maybe cuz they are cheaper fender version, with less expensive materials and less wound made them sound more brighter than gibbons p90, fenders are called mp90 it’s hard to say for me, but I think for all of my compares that it can be the case ;)
Red mustang I think has more body in the sound, maybe cuz it’s noiseless once.
And mosrite with those Europe hand wound once, sounds the way I just like so much. Like original mosrite pickups but a bit more modern or so

Whatever the case, those P-90s sound really good. I think that Fender hit a sweet spot with those, and the upper harmonics are excellent.
The Noiseless pickups are, likewise, have a good sound. My Thinline Tele has Noiseless and they capture the original Tele sound quite well.
The Mosrite was the standout. I owned an original Mosrite, many years ago, but wasn’t into Surf at the time so I traded it away. I have lived to regret this. The pickups in that Mosrite are exceptional. As good as the two Fenders sounded, that Mosrite was a step beyond.

I started out playing with a Fender Mustang. It was the "budget, economy guitar" at the time. It played OK and that's about the best I can say about it. The pickups were weak; the trem bar was a pain in the ass; the selector switches were quirky. I later moved to a 1960s USA made Ventures Mosrite and haven't looked back.
Why players pay $2,000.00-$3,000.00 today for a 1960s Mustang is beyond me - but to each, his own.
All my humble opinion, of course.

About that fenders p90s was surprised as well, but I like them more, cuz of they are less dark.

From what I know, that Fender Mustangs after CBS bought company from Leo Fender got cut in budget as first model. Cuz in pre CBS era Mustang cost was almost the same as Tele. But CBS began place there less expensive pickups a.s.o. As for me preCBS mustangs had the same pickups as Strats. The huge change was after begin of 1965, and then weak pickups time began
Anyway, agree that Mosrite is like riding a Cadillac great feeling and sound. But actually I like both of those guitars, both are my favorite Like to change them in playing time by time, and on recordings is great to combine both of them together
