When I was in Nicaragua a few weeks ago I was in this restaurant that served tacos. They came three per plate so I asked for two of pastor and one of chorizo... and the waitress came back with two whole orders of pastor and one order of chorizo. Nine tacos is definitely too many tacos. |

Those bear a striking resemblance to Taco Bell tacos. I like birria, but I just can't get with the cabesa or lengua. |

There was a time when 6 would be not enough. However now days I find 2 just right. Joel |

Yeah you'd think for fine art they could have gone for some classier tacos. Those ones look rather pedestrian. ...This discussion is great. |

Tacos ! I hate Tacos - not because of the taste, but becasue of the poor logistics. Even the soft tacos are a crappy way to package mexican food. Burritos - now that's how it should be done. |

Well put. Burritos is where it's at. I could have them for every meal, for the rest of my life. They should've al least had classy tacos piled high with guacamole and fresh lime juice. None of this greasy fried folded crap. I'm not a fan of the hard shells. ...I'm hungry. —Science friction burns my fingers. |

+1 Actually, I find Mexican food is pretty boring really... but that comes from a vegetarian Thai, Korean, Vienamese and Indian food lover! My wife loves her buritos though. |

The thing with tacos and what most non-Mexicans know as "Mexican food" in general is that a very little number of people know the REAL DEAL. Almost no one in the U.S. or any other country other than Mèxico(except for the adventurous tourists that dare to go to the real mexican food joints when they visit Mèxico) has ever tried the real thing. From what I have experienced and seen, most of the "Mexican food" available on the U.S. are far from the original recipes, they're like a bad interpretation If someone visits Mèxico City and wants to know some good places where you can eat the good stuff please PM me. P.S. Sorry if this sounds too aggressive or harsh but it's the truth. No offense intended. P.S. 2 : There's no such thing as too many tacos. —Augusto Vite |

I've had real mexican food before. It's delicious, kicks the crap outta taco bell... But taco bell is cheap, convenient, and portable... ....Now I want to eat a bunch of tacos... —I am super sweet |

I agree wholeheartedly with Mr. Green. You can't beat the real thing. Unfortunately that's hard to find in the US. You just need to know where to look. |

Agreed, the burritos I've tried in Mexico weren't even up to par with the California variation. But damn the tacos are good down there Oh, I don't consider Taco Bell Mexican food. That stuff is horrible processed tortilla wrapped mush. —Science friction burns my fingers. |

There's lots of authentic Mexican food in California, and probably all over the Southwestern US. There are a lot of Mexicans here, after all. You just have to find the small family-run businesses and avoid the big Americanized chain restaurants. —Don |

Yeah that's true, small family-run businesses are always the best places to eat at. No matter the country or culture. —Augusto Vite |

I agree, but here in OC, and in LA and also down in San Diego area there are plenty of places that make tacos that look just like that. Jeff(bigtikidude) |
