Anyone tried one of these? It would seem to be a big improvement over the standard Mustang bridge on Mustang/Jazzmaster/Jaguar since it has the saddle height adjustment - lemme know whatcha think.

Haven't tried the Warmouth bridge. I do use the standard Mustang bridge on my AVRI JM and have had zero bridge issues.

That bridge looks exactly like the one on my AVRI Jag. The guitar had the bridge on it when I bought it. I've only had it a couple of weeks, but it seems to fit/work fine. No issues.

Someone on the old Yahoo Group reported not liking it but I can't remember who it was or why.

D and G saddles don't have height adjustment! I don't understand why but anyway... why you want to change your bridge?
Just to save some $$$ you can buy only the saddles. Over there occur the most problems. Don't remember a source now but you can find them easily.
....or for zero dollars just set-up your standard Jag/Jazz bridge!

I really don't think you need height adjustment screws for the Mustang saddles. They are radiused correctly and are just another variable in the already complex equation. I didn't miss them anyway.

I had the graph-tec mustang saddles on a CIJ Jag a while back. They didn't really fit quite right in my opinion and I wasn't happy with them at all. I do have graphtec saddles on one of my strats and I love them.

I bought a standard Mustang bridge for my Jag and am very happy with the result.
Totally agree with Brian... why complicate matters?

The Warmoth bridge is good if you have a flatter radius for your neck. They developed them to work with their compound radius necks. So, if you have a 9 1/2 - whatever radius for your neck, they're probably a good choice for you. If you have a stock 7 1/4 for your neck, then you don't really need this bridge as an upgrade.
ps - If you have trouble with your stock Mustang bridge where the end strings are slipping off the finger board, the Warmoth bridge is nice because you can angle the saddle inwards to help hold things in place (a common trick for Strats using vintage style bridge saddles).

The Mustang bridge does match the vintage radius, but considering all the different brands of strings with different tensions across the strings (especially D'Addario's), it's nice to be able to finetune each string individually. A common thing with D'Addario sets for example is that the D and G string have MUCH higher tension then the remaining strings (in some gauges even more so than others). So either you have the D and G at a good height and the others buzzing, or the other strings buzz-less but the D and G are a bit high.

the Fender Jazzmaster Bridge Blacktop series # 0081239100. has the 9.5" radius with all the advantages of a classic mustang bridge with adjustable posts and intonation. For any one with a modern neck or Squier Vintage Modified like mine.

I've been looking at the pros and cons of all the different bridge options, and this is the answer I've been looking for! Thanks for the post, and especially the photo.

Wow I had never seen that blacktop bridge! Looks good.
I recently got a fender mustang bridge on my Squier VM Jag, and it is perfect IMO. I did manage to get the stock Jag bridge set up quite well, but it involved filing some bigger slots and coating the whole thing with clear nail polish to lock it all in place. Worked like a charm after lots of work. Even after all that, I really just appreciate the simplicity and stability of the mustang bridge.

I'm thinking about this: http://staytrem.com/epages/950002362.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/950002362/Categories/JM_Jaguar__Jazzmaster_bridge1. It's essentially a Mustang bridge with several modifications. By Staytrem. Does anyone have any experience with it?
