Permalink Arcane Inc. ‘62 Experience Jazzmaster Pickups(?)

New Topic

Just ordered these “not-so-cheap” pickups from Arcane Inc.
Having a hard time finding any reviews besides one or two patrons in other forums who claim them to be “amazing.” Only reason I purchased was based on the description which said…

“”This pickup set is a Vintage correct replica of the pickups that would be on 1962 Jazzmaster.

Pure Vintage Jazzmaster Tone, Warm, Clear and Sweet. Made the old way, wound by hand using only the finest components, built with select grade and tuned Alnico 5 magnets, vintage correct gauge and type wire, 2 conductor cloth push back lead wire.””

The specs say they’re 8.1-8.7kohm which seem hotter than the low-mid 7kohms I usually see. My questions are, has anybody played or reviewed the ‘62 experience jazzmaster pickups from Arcane Inc.? And what is the correct DC resistance for a ‘62 jazzmaster? Thanks!

We’ve been using Arcane pickups on custom guitar builds at my place of work for a year or two now and I think the Tele and Strat sets are really nice. One of the better sounding brands from a vintage purist angle is the general consensus from what I can tell, but obviously that could be a bit subjective. We’ve yet to use their jazzmaster pickups but based on the other pickups, I think they would be worth checking out.
