This is brand new, much more detailed and expanded over Stephen McParland's earlier 2000 book on Dale, "Surf Beat." Plenty of photos and graphics here. Available only as a downloadable PDF. 500+ pages!!! Everything and anything you've ever care to know about the King of the Surf Guitar. And then some.

Thanks, but just to be clear, "King of The Surf Guitar" is completely Stephen McParland's work. All 500+ pages! I do have a couple of new projects coming, which I hope to announce soon. Never a dull moment...

McParland is crazy. Multiple tomes on surf music that go under the radar. I read about 75 pages of his Australian surf book and burnt out, mostly because it was such slow going looking up the songs he was mentioning. Not to mention I never printed it out and I'm not in the habit of reading books on my laptop. You'd think several 500 page books might mean he's a wordy dude, but no, the stuff that I read was mostly facts and plenty of visual aid.
