My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
His presence will definitely be missed by all.

I’m so sorry to hear of Noel’s passing.
I didn’t know him as well as some of you.
But it meant a whole lot that he did attend SG101
One year. Godspeed Noel.
wishing his family all the best in this hard time.

P.s please say hi to Baja Marty for us!

Just learned this very sad news.
Noel was one of the first and few to embrace us as a band even though we were a bit different, not traditional.
He was always supportive, encouraging and had an intellect that could make me see things in different ways.
I thought for sure that he of all people I knew had the ability and possibility of overcoming this illness and to know that his battle with it has ended hits hard.
I will always be thankful to have known him, he made our lives better.
My heart and thoughts go out to Barbara and his son and daughter.
We will miss him.

This touching video, shown at his service, was shared on Facebook, by Barb, Noel's wife:

"Folks, it's taken me a little bit to figure out how to share this but I wanted to do so, to show the video that was playing at Noel's service. I think you'll be able to see how much many of you, and Surf Music especially, played in his life. It's essentially a celebration of his life."

Thinking of Noel and his unwavering ability to always keep things in perspective and concentrate on what is really important. His kindness and positive encouragement shared on this site was so sincere, heartwarming and rare. Sending much love to his gentle soul and always keeping him in our thoughts. He should be remembered as an inspiration and role-model. Here’s to you, Noel! Cheers

I'm just now seeing this and I'm shocked. I had no idea Noel was suffering as much. I am truly saddened by him passing and he was always a consummate kind man to me - brimming over with boundless joy. He was always an advocate for my builds and truly respected me. It gives me some satisfaction to know how happy he was playing through the amps I created - fulfilling my mission for my work to make others happy. I will miss him and remember him always. The video is a very sweet tribute to a good man. My deepest condolences to his family and closest friends and acquaintances. RIP Noel. Thanks for the smiles.

For the daring... and lusty!

I met Noel the year he came out to the convention and came over to my house for the BBQ. We chatted for a bit and his passion for surf music AND all of the people involved in it was obvious. He was the real deal, and I suspect his openness and good heart flowed over into every aspect of his life. Prayers for his wife and family, and Godspeed Noel, you were one of the truly good ones. Cheers

Well I never met Noel. I suppose most here are in the same category.
But I do know his posts. I can pick his avatar he used here, from a large group.
It’s never a good thing when a group looses a member. And this group is no different. Noel’s posts here were a cohesive that helped make SG101 what it is. As are everyone’s.
Rest in Peace Noel.
I hope they play Surf Music for you in heaven.

Noel stopped by Hi-Tide Winter Holiday in Pittsburgh last February. So glad he did. He was as good as they come. Peace to his family.
