ATTENUATOR

When we talk about bedroom levels, are we talking about a level that isn't audible from the next room at all, or just a volume that you can easily speak above?

If you're talking about the former, you have the wrong amp. If you're talking about the latter, try a Weber Mass 200 attenuator. I use one for a twin and it works like a charm. And it gets very quiet and still sounds absolutely great. I don't even use the treble compensation knob at all, it sounds identical to me. And I have super snobby ears, autistic at all. The other attenuator I have is called an SPL Reducer and that works just as great as the Weber. Both are 200 watts.

I tried the pull two tubes and a speaker trick and it was almost no difference at all. I wouldn't even bother. I guess if you are looking for some break up it could be helpful, but for me with the pure cleans it didn't do squat.

honestly that’s a relief to hear. I’ll look into a Weber for sure
