Another vote for Interstellar Stomp! It doesn't get any better than this. —Jack Booth The Mariners (1964-68, 1996-2005) |

I am listening to the Apes of Wrath right now and wondering why Tsar Wars is not getting more votes! |

"Apes of Wrath" is excellent! However, regarding an entire album, Interstellar Stomp is my album of choice. I'm glad I have a copy! -that and Nebula One. -K —"Turn the knob to 10 and break it off!" -Baja Marty |

Tied? What the hell? Tsar Wars is a much better album. Interstellar Stomp might have better tracks but Tsar Wars has the greatest flow of any instrumental record ever recorded. Ivan created an album where most surf records are a collection of songs. And Brian, best of shouldn't count because it really isn't a true release. If I recall Ivan wasn't 100% happy with it. |

I love Intersteller Stomp, but I voted Tsar Wars. That album just blows me away. Jewel of Duende may be one of the most brilliant instro tunes ever written IMHO. —Ryan |

The Best-Of has some tracks not on the others. And I don't remember Ivan being unhappy with it. I think he would have picked a few different songs. I'm voting Tsar Wars but it really is a toss up. Too bad Art won't release that live CD.... —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

I don't think Art owns the live CD. Ivan was going to try and get that released by Double Crown, or so he told me back in december of '05. |

Yeah he doesn't own it but he didn't want to release it. Maybe someone else will though? —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

I love Tsar Wars, but have never heard Interstellar Stomp. I recently got beaten at an eBay auction for a copy going for $6. I need this CD, if anybody has an extra one for sale I'll buy it. |

I'm still searching for a copy of Tsar Wars. I was lucky enough to find a copy of Interstellar Stomp (in mint condition, no less) for sale on Amazon a week or two ago. Before that, all I owned was the best-of, which I bought at a Madeira show. |

"Interstellar Stomp" seemed to come out of the blue and strike me directly in the medulla oblongata like some sort of Tuscon thunderbolt in the middle of a dry hot summer day. That album got me through my senior year when I was working on the final requirements of the BA in Geography. besides, that cd just totally kicks ass, |

Intertsellar Tsomp. At the moment. But don't give up. The margin is only 3 votes. What no Santsorm? I may have to change my nickname to Dasputin. |

Both are great albums, as is the "best of" and the three 7"s. IS and TW may still be available on vinyl - Interstellar I believe has an extra track! Both worth getting in both formats. I, like many others, have a bias toward Interstellar Stomp only because I bought it before Tsar Wars came out and, like others have pointed out, hit me in the face. |
