I'd just like to get together with some guys in the area to play some surf tunes. Jamming is fine with me and starting June 1 or so I have days free too. Most of the folks I know are pretty serious so hopefully we will find some just-starting-out people from the list here. Do you prefer to play lead or rhythm ? Doug Top

I used to play lead, but I sure wouldn't mind backing someone else too. Besides, you guys with bands might be a lot better then me, so maybe another lead player would be good. Last summer I went back east to my 40th high school reunion. The band that was popular in our class got back together to do an hour show, and I joined them for a few tunes. I am in the process of clearing out a room in our house for a practice space so if I get that done it time we could rehearse here in La Crescenta... doug: get that room cleaned up! having reverb mike come down to the desert from bakersfield finally got me off my ass to clean up my music/junkstorage room...it's cool to be able to find stuff and move around in there without tripping over the christmas decorations and boxes of who-knows-what... even my 17 year old daughter was impressed with my "tidy up" job... she said: "wow, what happened in here? there's like tons space and it looks like a room again!" do it! -dp Top

Small is ok with me too, but one of the replies here gave me another idea. The members of the Carvin Guitars forum sometimes get together for a regional "Carvin Bash" - a big jam party. The first one here in southern CA was held in someone's house in North Hollywood, and the one last year was in a rented studio or rehearsal hall (not sure, cause I had to miss that one) in Anihiem. Carvin even set up a "Carvin Bash" topic space on their forum for their members to get together for them.
