I have about $1100 to spice up my rig. I currently have a ‘62 reissue Strat. Pedal board is Klon clone, Spaghetti Western Fuzz, Surfy Bear Compact and Boss TR-2 into a Supro amp.
What should i get?

Lessons?
What model Supro are you using? Maybe a speaker upgrade?
Seriously though, it sounds like you've got a cool rig running right now. Plug in, turn up and go!

Jaguar or Jazzmaster?) Vintera is the same cost I think.
Or maybe recoding rig?
Concerning pedals - I think nice delay (el Capistan?) will suit nicely.

it’s a Supro 1600 Supreme and it sounds really good as is.
I am happy with it. I was contemplating a second amp or electric.

I think I’m torn between a Jaguar, Jazzmaster or Doheny.
Already have a full recording Studio in the house.

I was also torn between Jaguar, Jazzmaster and Gretsch with Hilotrons. Now I have them all)))

I recently bought a Squier CV Jaguar which is surprisingly good. I replace the trem’ with an American Vintage unit, and would recommend that mod. Beyond that, I recommend the Surfy Industries Blossom Point at the end of any effects chain. I pretty much don’t play a note that doesn’t pass through a Blossom Point.

I will have to look into it.
I am also looking at Lapsteels and a Bass VI. on the other front i think the Doheny or a Jaguar are in the lead.

I have both a lap steel and a Bass VI. Ironically, my Bass VI is taken apart, at the moment, awaiting a new pickguard. I’m also considering swapping out the MIJ tremolo for an AV, and I’ve ordered a StayTrem bridge. It is an ultra cool instrument, but I don’t play it all that often. A few years back, I did a recording of Secret Agent Man where I doubled the guitar part on the Bass VI, for the last verse. That was pretty cool.
I’ve owned three Jaguars, and have ordered Warmoth parts to build another Jag’, but that CV Squier may be hard to beat. The stock pickups sound great, and since I’ve started using the Strangle Switch, it’s opened up a lot of options.

I bought a Guyatone Lap Steel for just under $500.
I still have about $600 if I want a Bass VI. Or possibly a Doheny. Also was thinking of a Surfybear metal but the compact I have works great for me.

Sounds like you’re leaning towards the Doheny. Not a bad choice.

If you moved from Highlands Ranch to Littleton, you could afford both.

so good. Is there a major difference in US and Indonesia quality in these?

No direct experience, but I know that some nice instruments come out of an Indonesia, these days. The Squier CV Jag’ I just bought is Indonesian, and other than the tremolo being a bit wonky (since replaced with an AV trem’) it’s an excellent guitar. I have $2,000 worth of parts on order to Cusom build a Jaguar partscaster, and only hope it turns out as good as this bargain basement Squier.

Hey, if you move to Englewood, you could afford even more guitar toys.
I actually worked construction on Highlands Ranch, in a much earlier phase of my life. I’ve visited a friend there, many times and know the area quite well. I used to work for IREA, so I have a map of Douglas and Kiowa counties etched into my brain. One thing I like about Highlands Ranch is that it seems somewhat isolated from the crowded nature of metro Denver, or for that matter, the crowded nature of Castle Rock.

Yeah it’s in its own bubble. We were fortunate to get a place for less than Littleton and englewood. Englewood is Turing into a bunch of scrape and builds and tiny houses are worth a lot.
