Fender Stratocaster into Fender Rumble Bass amp!

racingsnail84 Joined: Aug 29, 2021 Posts: 84	Posted on Feb 15 2023 03:01 AM I remember reading that in the early Surf days , dudes would opt to you the FenderBassman instead of the amps specifically for guitar….. Im guessing it’s because it had a beefier tone And perhaps a bit louder? Anyone on here know why they started using the bassman’s? well I tried this myself today plugging my 99 MIM Strat into my Fender Rumble 100……and man , oh , man it did not disappoint! anyone else here do the same concept ? That said, there is a night and day difference between the Bassman and the Rumble amp. They don't sound anything alike. Absolutely… I just find that the rumble has way more clarity than my guitar amp, which sounds muffled no matter what I do Top

I'm not saying you can't get a good sound out of the rumble, just that they're not the same thing. im sure they do sound completely different, but for someone on a tight budget the Rumble 100 is an amazing deal… it provides clarity that most guitar designated amps in the same price range don’t have and it’s even got a bright channel and a direct line out … I find myself playing through the Rumble every day now for both guitar and bass which was weird at first but now I can’t imagine not playing guitar through it Top
