Permalink Best surf albums from “recording” point of view?

In addition to my earlier suggestion of The Babalooneys, The Bradipos IV’s self-titled record is an absolute masterpiece. The songs are recorded beautifully, and the overall mood and vibe of the material feels so genuine and heartfelt - rather than just a throwback recording. Thinking more about it now, it may be the greatest surf record made in the modern era.

The Bambi Molesters As the Dark Wave Swells, and LDH’s debut are great sounding albums.
