Permalink tested my new rig last night at an acoustic gig

I know this is kind of stretching things a bit because my band (7th Grade Girl Fight) is not a surf band, but I have been introducing surf elements into our songs for a while now. This will be apparent when our next EP comes out in April or May Smile

Our drummer got sick, so we went acoustic for a small gig last night. Acoustic for me means using my 1947 Harmony Patrician, restored with modern parts, modified to hold a single P90 pickup and strung with flats. I ran that into my RI reverb unit and then into the Supro Thunderbolt MkII I bought recently right here on SG101, using a SurfyDrip pedal to hi/lo the amount of reverb throughout as needed. No problems even though the archtop is almost fully hollow; I discovered it will feed back pretty well thanks to the F# on the A string though Smile

It all worked really well and sounded quite surf-adjacent. I'm looking forward to breaking out this setup with my full pedalboard and electric guitars at a gig in the near future!
