I suppose that means it would be "exotica" ? correct ?

Look for Fifty Foot Combo, lots of bongo, and not necessarily exotica.

I did some tracks with bongos back in the day, too. But to make it Exotica it takes a little more. In any case a bongo surf track is a great transition from surf to exotica when dj'ing.
