I'm a new guy around here...and I'm looking for a MIA Jazzmaster in Ice Blue Metallic.
Unfortunately, they don't make them in that color anymore. I already have the same guitar in 3 tone SB, but I just gotta have IBM too.
I'm not here just to look for a guitar, either. I really like this place!

I have a IBM Jazzmaster. See my avatar.
It isn't for sale. I just picked it up brand new a month ago. I looked for almost a year to find a New in the Box Ice Blue Metalic Jazzmaster.
One day a young clerk at Sam Ash music store looked on his computer and found one all the way across the counrty in Manhattan New York. So don't give up looking. They sent it out for me to buy in about a week.
I saw a post yesterday about new Jazzmasters coming out pretty soon. Maybe they will paint them IBM.
Don't give up.
Good Luck

Too bad you're not selling yours!
I'm okay with used, as long as it's near mint. I found one at Sam Ash through Gbase, but I haven't saved that much yet. They want $1434, which I thought was the sunburst price.
Two of them just sold on ebay a month ago for under $1000. At that time, I didn't have enough saved for even that much. Now, I check everyday, but nothing...

Yeah. I was distressed when I saw that Fender had dropped Ice Blue Metallic from their Jazzmasters. I did a Google search a month ago and on about the twelfth page I found a new one at a guitar shop in New England. I bought it right away and had it shipped. Northern Lights Music did a great job of packing it and were very nice people. It came with a mint green pickgaurd and aged white plastic parts. It looks good but I think it would really look great with either a white/black/white layered pickgaurd and white parts or a pearloid pickgaurd with all white parts (P/U covers, knobs, etc.) Any opinions?

Yes, a white pick guard would probably look a hell of a lot better than a mint green one.

I stuck with the mint green pickguard--it is not that "minty" and gives just enough off-white to make the soapbars stand out.
Pics of my ice blue AVRI are below--the telecaster next to it has a white pickguard and there is just a subtle shade difference, even though the flash tends to bleach out the photo a little. And, sorry, its not for sale.

That Tele looks familiar... The guard on the Tele is more parchment than white, though.

Mine is identical... Sorry, off topic. But hey, it's my thread!

I see what you mean about the white pickup covers standing out against the mint green - very sharp. The aged white (I think that's what Fender calls their yellowish-white plastic) that came on mine have a washed out look. I think I'll try replacing the p/u covers, knobs and twangbar tip with white before I order a white pickgaurd.
Your tele is beautiful too. The binding looks great with the sunburst finish and I've always loved those Fender "F" Bigsbys. Teles have such great twang, you'd think twangbars would be standard equipment on them. Thanks for letting me see your guitars and thanks for the advice. Ziv
