Hi all, I flew from Europe with some friends to attend. It would be nice to meet in person with some of you that we've been talking here over the years. If attending and interested, hit me up : )

That's so cool that you came out! I can't be there but I wanted to say - we need an SG101 t shirt. That way those of us who are new, and don't know anyone can recognize each other. I went to last year's Surf x Surfwest and it seemed I was the only sg101er. I asked a few folks about it but they were way too cool for school. They barely acknowledged my existence. I didn't realize Seattle had such a tough-guy-cool surf scene! I loved the music but dang, I did not feel very welcome.

Anyway, we need sg101 t shirts. Wasn't there sg101 shirts in the past? Before my time...

I really want to go, but can't financially swing it. In some ways it's so close to NYC but I'd still need to rent a car and an airbnb (on top of tickets) to make it work and I'm not in the position to afford it. Now that I know it's a thing, perhaps I can plan better for next year!

No. Way too busy with the move to Germany and on top of that there are frankly no bands that are interesting enough for me to fly all the way from Europe to the US, get a place to stay and pay for a ticket.

Can't make it this year, but loved the last one. Make sure to stop by the Pinball museum too!

Yes there has been SG101 shirts,
I’d say at least 6, if not 8 or 10.

We mainly came for MoAM and Los Straitjackets, which we can't easily get in Europe. On the first day of the festival there were a couple of bands with vocals, didn't appeal much to me. Today looks more instrumental-ly Very Happy

Man or Astroman has been to Europe and especially the Netherlands quite a few times - I saw them 3 times there, the first time in 1993. So I presume they will come to Europe some time in the future and I will go when they do, same with Los Straightjackets, which I haven't seen. I will go when they come to Europe near to where I am, but whilst I do like them, I don't find them worth a plane ticket, plus all the other added costs. But anyway, I am busy with moving to the Dutch German border for my work.

(raises hand) I'm here!

true, last night wasn't very "surfy" but I was so happy to see man or astro man AND southern culture again. I guess coco broke his leg in like six places, hence the "astro pod".

REALLY looking forward to Messer Chups tonight!
