Hi All, I just wanted to alert you that there's some surf music in the soundtrack for Apollo 10 1/2 along with a lot of great vocal stuff of the era as well.
Here's the surf songs:
Out of Limits
Baja
Hawaii 5-0
Penetration
Also some other great instrumentals: Peter Gunn, Riders in The Sky, Time is Tight, and Music To Watch Girls By (not the Satan's Pilgrims version unfortunately).
I'm not sure I liked the animation style, but it was a good watch with my almost 7yo son. Overall lots music with Jack Black narrating about basically what it was like to live in Houston, TX/USA in the late 60s.

Was thinking the animation looked a lot like Waking Life and there's Richard Linklater's name. Might give it a watch for the subject matter but I found that animation style really distracting in his other movies.

Thanks very much for that. Got me at the RC cola and the TV dinners on TV trays (and Stingray bikes). Will check it out. Wonder if I close my eyes & click my heels I can get back to the Sepulveda drive-in...
