Ok, Ok, I know this isn't really about surf music, but I just stumbled over the Leningrad Cowboys and the Red Russian Army Choir......on You Tube, and had to share it with all you hard core surf and instro fanatics. I've been laughing about these video clips since this afternoon.......enjoy! When I can quit laughing and get up off the floor, it's back to surf music as usual......
It's like Groucho said, "...........!"

Have you seen the original Leningrad Cowboys film? It's a great piece of surreal humour - I think it's called 'The Leningrad Cowboys Go America!'
I still have it on an old VHS tape somewhere.... It was a Finnish film made in about 1988.
These guys have the hair - but I dont think they are the original band in the film. These clips are still pretty entertaining though - although the band themselves also sound a lot more conventional than in the movie.

What a hoot. They're actually very entertaining, a little Trans Siberian Orchestra sounding. Has anyone seen this version of Apache? From the same part of the world, I think.

Not many things scare me, but this one did. Like "Solid Gold meets National Geographic meets Best Of The West." Since they were linked, I had to watch The Shadows', then The Ventures' versions, to make sure I won't have nightmares when I go to sleep tonight.

I questioned it as well. Best as I can figure it's real. Real stupid, but nonetheless real.

Wow!!!.....that could be the worst "entertainment" i've ever seen. The Ventures have some "disco" versions of their songs too, and they may be worse than this stuff, but.......
