I have more, but these are the two I loaded to My Space. I probably should email some of them to Adrien.

I caught the Friday night show at the Smoke Tiki. Both Chum
and the Lava Rats were great. Being that the bands played in
an outdoor patio, the volume was turned down a bit. Chum
wailed. It was the first time that I saw them with Rick on guitar.
I was very impressed. Willy filled in for Rod on bass with the
Rats, and despite not automatically knowing most of the songs,
did an awesome job. The Rats played mostly standards,
probably to make it a little easier on Willy, plus people were
requesting standards and not originals. It was a very different
show than any that I've seen the Lava Rats do. A lot tamer. Not
better or worse, just different. The usual balls-to-the-wall, tear-
your-head-off intensity was replaced by a softer-gentler Rat attack,
It was a cool show that I'm glad I was able to see. I wanted to catch
the Forbidden Island show, but had conflicts, dang-it! Did anybody
here catch that show???

Unfortunately not I. The Tmen got a short notice gig playing a rave the night before and we were out til 4am and this old man was beat the entire Sunday as a result. Sorry Chum. I'm curious as to how the volume issues were there as well.

I too was at the Smoke Tiki show. I agree with what RobbieReverb said. My friend and I enjoyed Adrien's politically incorrect banter. Hope to see more shows there.

Seems more tof the Tiki Crows saw them and liked them, than the surf crowd.
Go figure.
