Because of their cost and rarity maybe not a beginners first choice but definitely a classic you can ride and be proud of. Bruce Gabrielson, the Huntington Snake, would take me out and give me a nice longboard to ride. Then after tiring of watching me in the soup, he'd go out and effortlessly ride the waves. When I was in college we'd share a longboard. Steve was the best of us all. I did have one magical day at Rodanthe... I wish I remember the board.
