Permalink New Pedal Day!

New Topic

Today was an exciting day, waiting for the Fedex truck to arrive. I've been learning and playing 60's surf and instrumentals for about four months and finally got my first pedals this afternoon. I've been mostly using the amp reverb on the Fender Deluxe, but wanted to add a reverb and delay pedal. I'm sure the learning curve will be steep in how to dial these things in, but I'm looking forward to it. Fun stuff!

Nice choices! I have an Echorec, it's awesome for Shadows and tons of other stuff, it's my favorite delay.

That's what I was thinking, too. Echorec for Shadows songs.

the topanga and echorec will get you so very far. i used those pedals for genres far outside of surf/instro. even making them work for heavy, down tuned/baritone guitar music and sludge/doom/metal.

I've been eyeing this combo too (might be a good match for my Danelectro baritone). I'm a Surf n Doomer myself.
