I've got hundreds of bands in my "vintage instrumental guitar" playlists, and nobody sits in the mix like Oleg. It's always obvious who the band is by his sound alone - not an easy feat with this genre. I've got the gear to get his tone, but how can I get my recordings to sound like theirs? Just fat, crystal clear guitar that doesn't overpower everything, but never gets lost either.

A lof of carving out sonic space for different instruments comes to careful use of EQ. Like reducing frequencies of the bass track where they overlap with the guitar, and highlighting those frequencies where the guitar shines through. I've seen online guides with various recommendations.
