@Neodrama is correct. The full name for those is “ground lift adaptors,” and if I cared about my amps, I’d use the HumX instead. (In fact I use three!)

Actually the GE Grounding Adapters were suggested by Swart Amplifiers. I had the same issue running a Swart STR-Trem in stereo with another amp. This fixed it for me. I do not believe it removes the ground if the tab is connected to the wallplate screw. YMMV

Great that should take care of house noise. Now, do we have a thread on using copper tape inside a Strat to get rid of pickup noise? I saw something called "Buzz Kill". Any experience?

I’ve used conductive tape to shield the control cavity of a Strat. Just a matter of working carefully and then making certain that it’s grounded.

Whenever you run into two amps, there is a good chance that you will have some hum. Basically, the path to ground has to be precisely the same for both amps, and that can happen, but don’t count on it. There are ABY boxes that can take care of this problem, and that’s probably going to be the solution. The HumX eliminators Death Tide mention are probably a good path, although I don’t know the product.

Yeah, no, that is not at all a good idea.

A simple splitting of a guitar signal into two arbitrary input impedances is not a good plan. And, of course the possibility of introducing weird paths to ground is a factor.
The thing you will want to do is transformer-isolate these outputs with a proper pedal.
