Ted,
Do you mean the early 80s vintage one??
That one is quite expensive...
Cheers,
Andy

How is it that we’re on the second page already and nobody has recommended a Dual Showman as a good starter amp? What’s happened to SG101??? —Sean Last edited: Sep 05, 2021 11:47:07 |

That's indeed a nice price, Ted. I didn't know they were that good. Cheers, |

I started playing surf guitar about four months ago. I decided on the Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb. My other consideration was the Princeton, but wanted the extra watts as I sometimes jam with a drummer. I'm very happy with the Deluxe Reverb, especially after adding a Fender '63 Reverb Unit Reissue. —-John "...enjoy every sandwich." -Warren Zevon Fender Stratocaster American Pro II |

I have something the order of nine tube amps, ranging from Brownface and Tweed, to Blackface, to the Vox family. All of them have their charms, but the Blackface Deluxe Reverb has always struck me as a particularly sweet spot on the continuum of amplifiers. It’s not a Showman, and never will be, but it’s a very good amp and a very versatile amp. —The artist formerly known as: Synchro When Surf Guitar is outlawed only outlaws will play Surf Guitar. |
