Mine arrived yesterday. So far all I've done is listen to the cd. Great music!

Just ordered mine along with the previous three issues. Thanks for the heads up, I'm looking forward to the 4CDs while driving back and forth to work.

The most impressive album cover I've seen is on the "Ancient Winds" album by The Madeira, for both its craft and its symbolism.

I gave this cover some serious consideration. Another classic Stephen Blickenstaff cover. I went with one of his Atomic Mosquitos covers because he's in the band. All are so good!

Clint - love it. You're a sucker for the artsy stuff eh? ;)
Hard to resist. Cool that some of those feature art by actual band members .. Insect Surfers, Atomic Mosquitos ... am I missing any?

Thank you Squid and Clint, but actually Steve had nothing to do with this cover art. It was painted for us by Lorraine Schleter, an artist who is a close friend of Patrick's and his wife. (Ferenc Dobronyi did the layout for the CD.) Steve did the artwork (and the layout) for our two live CDs, "Sonic Cataclysm" and "Center of the Surf", which are absolutely amazing and I love them dearly, but alas he had nothing to do with this one. Just thought I'd set the record straight on that one.

Thanks for the correction Ivan. I have no idea where I came up with the idea that Stephan did that cover. I'll just blame it on Covid...
Sorry for the misinformation.

I've been thinking about this, and it may have been at the post SG101 conv. at Surf Dogs on the Sunday following the big show. Stephan was selling merch in the back and with all his stuff (his art work and some Atomic Mosquitos swag) was The Madeira's "Ancient Winds" vinyl LP. I think that's where I got the idea the album cover was his. Maybe??

Hmmm.... Well, I don't remember. That must have been in 2017, when the Madeira played the convention? It's possible our table spaces were right next to each other and he was doing us a favor by watching and selling our stuff while we were off doing something else. I seem to remember that being the case, but am not sure. But it's a possible explanation.

Thinking a bit further, I think what may have happened is that we showed up too late at Surf Dog's to get any table space to sell our merch, leading Steve to offer us some of his table space (he's one of the nicest guys EVER!). Since the space was very limited and the Ancient Winds LP was our newest release, I think we had him just put that on his table. Funny how these random events can lead to this sort of confusion!
