My school is getting renovated over the summer, and they were throwing stuff out and i was able to save a spray painted and pretty banged up strat body for the dumpster! any ideas for what i should do with it electronics wise? i want this baby covered in knobs! fo far my best idea is to gut one of those danelectro eq pedals and put it in under the pickups like where switches would be on a jaguar.
second question: ive been wanting to get into building more complicated electronics stuff like amps and pedals and was thinking of getting this: http://paia.com/hotsprgs.htm any body tried, or heard anything about it?

I built one of those in the late 70's, and it sounds OK.
It can't compare to a Fender tank. It gets much drippier
than an onboard reverb in an amp, but to my ears it is
kinda dark and muddy sounding. It's a real feeling of
accomplishment building and modifying your own stuff,
but in this case I think I would pass.

holikujak,
You want buttons galore? Then I suggest that you shag on over to GuitarNuts2 - The Guitar Modder's Forum! Ask questions all you want, you'll find all sorts of people there who know a thing or two about guitar electronics, as well as accessories, amps, pedals, and other esoterica.
I highly doubt that you'll be disappointed.

that reverb thing - I 'm sure it's nice, don 't get me wrong - but it doesn't look to me like something very useful to a surf guitarist. for fun and cheap projects I'd suggest building fuzz(es) - schematics are all over the web, and components readily available.
check out the thread on the weber reverb kit if you want to go in that direction. expensive but worth it and satisfying too.
