Permalink Surf Music in the 70's

We all know here that surf music lived in the 60's. Around 67 we have a brief hybrid with fuzz, psychedelic and soundtrack styles (Davie Allan, Takeshi Terauki ecc,) to re-emerge in the mid 80s. But in the 70s we have essentialy no surf/instro music. As far as I know we have the Ventures, who keep publishing albums, an unknow "Best Of" of Dick Dale who re-record some old hits, and some punk bands doing some cover here and there (the "Pipeline" cover of Johnny Thunders). Do you know other surf/instro music of the 70s ?

I believe the first release from Jon & the Nightriders was in 1979. In general, I think you're right -- very little output from the 70's.
