I just picked the complete Prisoner series boxset this afternoon, and it's amazing.
===>Iron Maiden (the group, not the Surfguitar101 member)
did two songs about The Prisoner: "The Prisoner" on Number of
the Beast, and "Back in the Village" on Powerslaves.
UP THE IRONS!!! (They really need an emoticon with long hair
doing this!)

Now my life would be complete if only they'd put my all time favorite show The Man from UNCLE on DVD.
Then you might be interested in the 3 disc DVD box containing 5 of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. feature length movies. I have so far only seen one of the films of my set but at a price of £14.98, you can't go wrong if you're a fan.

Personally, I think a lotta TV out there today is pure crap.
What do you mean today? TV has always been like that, there is just lots more of it now. It is the law of broadcasting.

I have really stopped watching TV completely except for whatever is on Adult Swim when I am getting ready for bed.
My favorites include a surprisingly large percentage of what Warren listed.
Simpsons, Futurama, Monty Python, South Park, The Young Ones, vintage Star Trek, Band of Brothers....

WOW!
Some of you guys must not have a lot of practice time judgeing from all your favorite TV shows that you have listed.
I dont have TV , but I do have DVDs. My favorite Tv shows on DVD are.
1. Northern Exposure
2. X files
Pretty limitied selection, I know.
But I have a lot of time to practice. and I need it too!

Brian has excellent taste. That is all.

Now my life would be complete if only they'd put my all time favorite show The Man from UNCLE on DVD.
From Wikipedia:
A DVD release by Anchor Bay allegedly set for 2006 was apparently scuttled because a dispute over the rights to the series erupted with Warner Brothers. An April 18, 2007 report suggests that Warner Brothers has won the rights and will be releasing the DVDs at the end of 2007. Time Life will release the entire series on DVD in a complete box set, after coming to an agreement with Warner Home Video.
I'm looking forward to this for sure, assuming it happens.

The Man from UNCLE
classic- what I miss about shows like that (in fairness it was before my time so I only know through repeats) is that in them days shows had SOUNDTRACKS.
Orchestral bits. Original theme tunes played live not just knocked up on a PC somewhere. I think the Man from Uncle kept doing the odd discordant stab on harpsichord when something bad happened.
Vibroslams when something sneaky was happening... I could go on..
