This book is so great! Surf is so obscure now that the world totally needs this! I wish I could see copies in every music store. I’ve got a question - can you play with the same level while standing? I’d hope people won’t get stuck playing seated when they ultimately want to stand while playing. For the first time in my life last Summer, I took a few classical guitar lessons (the only lessons I’ve had) and we didn’t even START anything besides chromatic stuff until my position was not straining anything. It was a real surprise to see just how wrong I’d been holding my hands and fretting, and especially straining unnecessarily! I wan’t fretting properly, I was using too much pressure and also hitting the strings too hard. But one thing was clear - it only worked to practice in the correct position. So if one plans on standing for their surf band’s performances, they should also stand for practicing. —Daniel Deathtide Last edited: May 22, 2020 08:46:09 |

Boys & girls, the first edition is nearly sold out, 14 copies left! All German and European orders were shipped by me. I ordered the reprint/second edition today, so you can keep ordering https://www.thesurfguitarbook.com/order/ Since there's no touring at the moment, I'm glad about the extra income https://www.doublecrownrecords.com/the-razorblades-howlin-at-the-copycats-cd/ https://www.therazorblades.de/shop/ Last box left: The happy author: |
