I got a bulletin on myspace saying that Dick Dale passed away on the 30th?

I did a google to try and find the announcement and found nothing.

Is it true?

When I go to deadoraliveinfo.com, it states that today is his birthday and that his is still alive.

Hopefully someone can clear this up. Just way too many deaths in the recent months. Don't need to be bummed out about this one, too.

Yeah, just re-read the bulletin from The Neptune Society and they used that headline for promoting their upcoming show with Dick.

Bad use of a acronym to say he is going to "RIP" it up at the show.

False alarm.

I have Dick's autograph on a takeout menu from the venue he played the first time I saw him framed on my desk here @ work. Everyone in the office has asked me at some point why I have a menu framed on my desk. Upon explanation, the standard reply is "Who's Dick Dale?" Bastards.

Apparently, I wasn't the only one that had mis-read the bulletin on Myspace. At least after listenning to Clint Beachwood last night, I wasn't alone.

Well, this oughta learn me to not jump to conclusions before reading and absorbing someones message.
