We haven't been active with any of our band projects for quite some time now so I was pretty surprised being contacted by newly started Spanish surf and exotica record label Topaz Hit Label and hearing that they wanted to reissue our Surfites "Escapades In Space" album on vinyl as well as releasing a 7" EP with four of the Excelsiors tracks from The Surfites & Co. album.
We just got our share of the records and are very pleased with how they turned out. Release date October 16th.

Thanks Mike!
The CD version of "Escapades In Space" is still in print from Double Crown for a very good price for those who prefer that format: https://www.doublecrownrecords.com/the-surfites-escapades-in-space-cd/
I believe that the Topaz vinyl version as well as their Excelsiors EP will be available from Double Crown's webshop later on.
And here we are back in 2008, rehearsing the album songs just before take-off...

Is the Surfites vinyl version special mastered for vinyl?
Or simply pressed on vinyl with the CD rates?
— Twang cheers!

Check out a very nice review of the Escapades in Space LP:
https://magicpopblog.wordpress.com/2019/10/31/creativo-viaje-galactico-de-the-surfites-en-su-escapades-in-space-reeditado-en-vinilo-por-topaz-hit-label/
Google translation of the Conclusion from Spanish:
“This is an unusual album ... You can join us if you wish. Don't worry about bringing a spacesuit... all you need is a record player and a vivid imagination. The Surfites will do the rest.” This is how this Swedish band describes, on the back cover of this album reissued on vinyl by Topaz Hit label, their phenomenal work: an extraordinary space journey through our galaxy that passes through the Moon, Mercury, meets comets and a strange star rain. Their adventure is enlivened with a collection of instrumental songs that stand out not only for their skills, arrangements, melodies and rhythms, but also for a careful use of sound that makes them especially captivating. With its guitar phrasing, its well-calibrated tempos based on bass and drums, plus the effects produced by the keyboards you will feel part of this very suggestive interstellar getaway thanks also for an ad hoc artwork. Without a doubt, it is a perfect soundtrack that will stimulate your imagination as few instro groups have achieved in the long and fruitful history of rock and roll.

The above review also includes a shorter mentioning of the Excelsiors EP in very positive words:
With regard to the EP of the Excelsiors, on the A side appears "The Picador" and "Vanadis", two huge songs in which the guitar oscillates with an almost lysergic perversion. Brave rhythms and bullfighting airs in the first of the cuts with a spectacular mastery of the guitar, and in the second, instrumental contributions of a beauty and a fragile love that will conquer you without remedy wrapped in a persistent tempo. And on side B we hear “Strange Planet” and “Farewell Old West”, another pair of sensational songs in which both the solo guitar and the bass and drum tandem display all their skills, knowledge of cause, and surfer emotionality, to make us go crazy in the first through its exaggerated tremolo and enveloping rhythm, while in the second they highlight their hilarious airs of space and space western worthy of all praise.

Purchased at the Get Hip ship in Pittsburgh from Gregg Kostelich (The Cynics) himself. So good!

Escapades in Space quickly went out of stock from Get Hip but any Americans who prefer to not order from overseas can now also get the LP from Hi-Tide:

And it now doesn't look like the records will be available from Double Crown.

I've added some more record stores that carries the Escapades in Space LP. And for anyone who prefers the CD format, the original release is still available from Double Crown at a really good price.

The Excelsiors EP doesn't seem to be as accessible but can be found at these fine sellers:
