I did. It sounds legit. He bought it from Jim Gallagher. Apparently, when Fender gave them the black amps, they sold all the blonds, but Dennis Lindsey kept this one. Dennis sold it, or gave it back to Rich Fifield at some point. It has a Rich Fifield return address label with Rich's parents address on one of the legs. Rich sold it to Jim Gallagher when he got hard up for money. The seller knew Jim had it and was begging to buy it for years, and Jim finally sold it a few years ago to him when he had some health issues. This guy is having some issues, and wants to sell it now.

The seller knew all of them, mostly from the music. He went to school with Bob Demmon's younger brother, and might have known Jim Gallagher in school too.

I'm planning on seeing the amp sometime this week. He's not too far from me. I'll see if I can get some pictures.

It's supposedly the second from the left.

I should mention he is asking pretty much top dollar, at least in my mind. I'm more interested in seeing it and determining if it is actually what he claims. I would be happy to be intermediary for a perspective buyer.

Lorenzo, there is only one man on the planet who should own this amp, and it is you!

I have plans to look at it on Saturday morning. I’ll ask lots of questions, take lots of pictures, and see if I can get some cool stories.

Chris, did you get over to see the amp? I was hoping you did and I'm sure I'm not the only one. We want to see this piece of surf history from the Mile High City.

We didn’t plug it in. It hasn’t been played in decades, and I didn’t want to potentially damage it. He was a really cool guy, with lots of cool stories of going to school with members of the band and their younger siblings. My favorite is apparently Bass Player Stormy Patterson has a sister that was super good looking - “Hot”, as he put it.

He got the amp from Tim Gallagher, drummer Jim Gallagher’s younger brother. Tim bought it from Rich Fifield years ago, maybe in the 70 ‘s. Tim was always planning to put a band together, but never did. The current owner, Bob, pestered him for ten years before Tim finally sold it to him a few years ago. He said Tim owned it longer than that, he only started to bug him about buying it when he found out he had it.

It’s $4300, he seems pretty sure of his price.
