thank you thank you ... i've been trying to hear this track for 30 years and finally found it... I was a little kid when the tv show came out and was too young to even remember the name of the show, but I remember the spacey guitar chorus, and spacy wood sticks/claves/?. It wasn't my imagination!

DP I am assuming that you re-recorded that right?
I like the laid back lounge version of it.
The Hillbilly Soul Surfers did a ripping version of it.
and the Deoras did a pretty much dead on cover of it.
except that Steve goes off on a Jazz drum solo on it.

"Wild Kingdom" was sponsored by Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company with host Marlin Perkins...
"Wild Wild World of Animals" was originally hosted by Bill Burrand and sponsored by Kalkan Dog Food...
in other words, two different shows...I was trying my hand at the "Theme from Wild Wild World of Animals"...
funny what we remember from TV, eh?

well now I want to hear the original version of wild wild world of Animals.
because the song you do sounds like Wild Kingdom theme slowed down.
I was wrong when I said that Hillbilly Soul Surfers and Deoras did WWWOA,
they do Wild Kindom, but its very Similar to the song you played.

Damn DP, you were right
here is WWWoA:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1a5zl96448k&mode=related&search=
and here is Wild Kingdom:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_HfpIj0auM&mode=related&search=
which is way mellow and not the song that the HSS's and Deoars did.
guess I'll have to tell Sherman LeRoi and Mickey Deora that they have to change the name of the song now.

To further complicate things, I like the theme from "Wild America" with Marty Stouffer. Epic.
