Come chill out as Matt plays solo guitar. It's the perfect spot for some surf noir spy tunes, great drinks and food. (and if you have kids, they eat free from 5-6!) Happening the first Thursday of the month.

Ah Somerville! I used to go to the Abbey just about every weekend for a while. Saw Mr. Airplane Man, Kings of Nutbin’, The Konks, Speed Devils, all the fun garage bands of the 90s! There and O’Brien’s...
Have a good show Matt, and yes that poster kills! Playing surf on an acoustic?! You rebel.

If you were in somerville in the 90s, you might not recognize it now! it's like the Brooklyn of boston or something. they just opened, I kid you not, an axe throwing bar.
(and I'm playing electric, just by myself!)

I don’t drink but I’d go to an axe throwing bar! That’s good about Somerville I guess? I used to date a girl who lived IN Davis Square, and it was cool!
The poster guitar case looks like an acoustic?
I think you inspired me somehow because I got off work early and went home and played some surf solo!
Hey what amp / reverb / guitar are you using? Just curious. I’d be completely screwed if I had to choose just one amp!

the poster guitar case totally looks like an acoustic. but I think that was artistic license, hard to surf on a gig bag!
I'm using the incredibly pragmatic rig: quilter micropro 8" and my guild 60D. For reverb I'm using a EHX Ocean's 11; there's a bluebird tremelo and line6 DL4 involved as well for a little "lite" looping.

here is a really crappy phone video from last night. I put the phone on the bar, and the amp is down by my feet, so it is definitely not the best sound ever. but if people will be somewhat forgiving anywhere on the internet, it's here!
the tune is one of mine, which I wrote but feel like I may have stolen from somewhere subconsciously! if you recognize it, LMK!
