I saw this flowchart on the Steel Guitar Forum (https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=341720&sid=b53d934833318184a16294b5e7d3e0f4) and thought you all might get a laugh out of it.

Bottom line: buy the guitar.
