North Sea Surf Radio played a song recently called "Big Bad Melvin" by the Fabulous Revtunes and I'd really like to hear it again, as it's really cool. The album is from 1997, though, so I don't know how easy that's going to be. Anyone have a lead?

They have been playing several by the Revtunes, or Fabulous Revtunes, for about a year. The band started in the early 80s around Minneapolis, MN and did mostly Ventures sounding music. Notice the band name is a re-spelling of the letters in Ventures. They had at least one album titled "Surfin' To The Max" and a 45 that is available on amazon or ebay. I see both occasionally on-line and at shows. Do a google search and you may find the CD. There are some live shows on You Tube.
I saw the father/son duo in the group perform on the "Surfin' To Baja" cruise and they are an unbelievable talent. Also corresponded with the drummer several years ago and found him to be very helpful and an all around good guy. They have a Facebook page with more information.
