Came across this pic of a contract for a gig we did last year in France. Appearantly, we play "musique Californienne" - has a real sexy ring to it, if you ask me! Very Happy

you wish toneboy Twisted Evil 1.3 dollar to the euro at the moment. (actually, the low dollar seems nice for us european consumers, but it's actually screwing our economy... Ivan? help me out here Laughing )

all kidding aside, this was a friendly gesture gig for the guy organizing it, but even if it hadn't been, we'll play for free as long as no one else is making profit of us. this one was at a local "salle de fête" which didn't serve beverages or anything, and had free entrance. (there were drinks for us though) so they didn't make anything whatsoever. Plus it was great fun.

The Instromania Site says "musique Surf," e.g., > http://www.instromania.net/D2/ART/ARTD/DALE%20Dick.php_

L'origine de la musique Surf peut etre directement attribué à Dick DALE (Richard MONSOUR né le 4 mai 1937) et à son groupe, les DELTONES.

I sometimes think "the ethnic music of native California," about covers it, or how about "California Soul."

WR, I'd play for free in France any day!! Keeping the music alive is way more important than the money... of course a few dollars/euros never hurts. Keep rockin' my friend!!
