Can anyone tell me from the pictures if this is an original Fender Reverb Unit - not the post 1993 Reissue?
It ends today on eBay and I would only want it if it was original. Thanks
That looks like an old style lamp cord for the AC plug to me... and I don't see the telltale CE writtten anywhere - and it has a 3/4 amp fuse - what else should I be looking for?

The seller is not an expert - so any help is greatly appreciated.

Actually, the NB date code is Feb. 1964.

Also looks like this is one of those "blackened" brownface ones.

I agree...with it's early '64 tube chart date, this unit may have been brown or blonde when it was born. Lots of them were painted/recovered black back in the day. I bought a used '63 Reverb unit in 1965 for $45, and redid it in black to match my then-new Bandmaster.

I think it is original black tolex... it looks right, not painted.

The tolex does not look painted - but the panel looks brown, and the knobs are brown. I think Fender did the black-panel/white-knobs on original black tolex reverb units. So, yeah, it's probably been retolexed - possibly back in the mid-sixties.

Looks too good for a re-tolex. Fender did a lot of "use up these parts before you use the new stuff." I've seen tweed cabs done in Tolex. Don't think we could say either way for sure on this one. But as a bettin man I would say original... just my two cents.

I'm guessing it's an original 1964 box with an older chassis. Too bad the serial # isn't posted in the ad.
