It can't get much closer than that. The Pilgrims in concert are sort of the coolest thing ever. They aren't my favorite surf band but live nobody can touch them. Top

Jeff(bigtikidude) I dont think anywhere in L.A. is as bad as it was around Jabberjaw. Lord Hunt had his old Strat stolen, Jake was pistol-whipped by thugs and our show money was stolen, Our girlfriends were mugged, almost all of our cars were broken into, Lord hunt almost had to beat some asshole hith a bag of ice, there were gunshots on closing night and the list goes on and on. But we kept going back. One night a "crew" of thugs walked down the line of people waiting to get in and treated everyone in line with a punch in the face. Ahhhh, the Jabberjaw days! — Happiness is being a surf musician that actually surfs. Ride Lord Hunt Surfboards!!! Top

Honestly, I have never been to that place but i'm sure its just fine. I certainly wouldnt call it the "next Silverlake". Was'nt that title given to Eagle Rock like half a decade ago? but seriously I would'nt worry about a thing. Ted, I can't wait to see the kings of the haunted surf again.
