I have one of the most beautiful examples of the classic 67 Fender Dual Showmans you will ever see or hear. It comes with the original matching speaker cabinet with the original 2 D-130F 15" speakers, somewhere in time they were re-coned and currently work flawless. This rig is the cleanest and in the best condition of any 67 I have ever seen, everything is original, from the tubes to the 2 prong power cord. I had my amp tech go through the amp and he replaced a few caps here and there and checked everything out and this thing is a monster! This amp looks like new.. I got it from the original owner who said he played it back when he was in high school... then quit the band and it has sat covered garaged for all these years. I have only used it twice on stage since I got it. $2,200 is more then fair for this rig, and it will have to be picked up from North County San Diego, Oceanside, CA.
My first time posting here so I am a bit fuzzy on how to do this. But, I do have pictures and if you have any questions you can e me at surfking1@aol.com

Obiwan, if it has to be picked up, you have to tell us where you live.

What caps have been replaced? The ones up top or the ones below?

To tell you the truth I can't remember, I would have to open it up.. my guess is both. Sorry, not very amp tech oriented. I just know it works and sounds amazing.

This is going to be a really hard sale for that price. Especially if something other than the filter caps were replaced which kind of gets rid of the all original novelty that can drive prices up. '67 isn't a terribly collectible year either.

Welcome to the group, Obiwan! Good luck in selling your rig. You
wouldn't be Tom Stanton of the Surf Kings, would you?

Of course that would mean he is Tom Stanton of the Crossfires as well.
And yes, it is him.

The thing is I am not all that sure I want to part with this amp, I guess you would have to see it and hear it to really appreciate it. And if someone steps up and really wants it I will let it go at my asking price. What I am trying to do is keep it in the surf community, that is why I posted it here.
I added a link below, if it works just scroll down the page and you will see it along with a couple other amps in the same pic. I hope it works.....

Only a couple of the caps were replaced, that's all. Everything else from jacks, knobs, pots, transformers are all original.
